Question QUESTION: I'm planning on having an Olympic themed birthday party in honor of the
2008 games. I'm having a spot of trouble in the game department. The
games that I have planned aren't necessarily Olympic-related and are
designed for teens. I have two categories of games: All Team Games and
Individual Competitions. I can't figure out any good games for the individual competitions and I was hoping that you could throw out some good games to
play?!
Thanks!
ANSWER: Heather
I could have a go .... but what games have you got already and what rejected (for what reason). Guidelines help come up with new ideas without wasting time.
Also are you thinking about indoor, outdoor, with or without equipment, special clothing, on grass, pitches, pools ...... what are the opportunities and limitations?

QUESTION: Games that I have planned already for individual competition are 4-Square and Balloon Tag (where everyone has a balloon tied around their ankle and they have to try to break others and protect their own).
Opportunities definitely include a big yard, a large driveway, and water. I don't have a pool, but water games wouldn't be out of reach. Everyone's going to wear a bathing suit & sneakers so they're prepared for whatever I throw at them.
Thanks again for the help!
Answer OK .... here goes:
=> Wheelbarrow race (done in pairs teamed up)
= Tug Of War - 60 rope two teams of 8 or so - taped in centre and also 4' each side. teams start at 4' marks and try to pull others first man over centre.
=> Toss The Wellie - 2 different colored ones. Each man has 3 distance attempts.
=> 3 Legged races
=> 4 Legged races - same but 3 in each group centre person's legs tied to either side people
=> Bin liner sack races - teams divided in two at each end - each does one trip, change sack with next and so on until finished, up, down, up, down
=> Arm wrestling
=> Synchronised display teams - give teams of perhaps 5 a prop each and they have time to devise routines to music
=> Egg and Spoon races
=> Backwards running races
... and finally
=> Leg Tunnel Relay Teams in line, one behind other, holding waist in front. Legs apart. Rear one has to crawl through to front, stand up and it repeats over and over for the distance.
All I got for today ..... hope you get one or two new ones and hhave a great time
