Anything about planning parties for weddings, showers, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, retirements, bar/bat mitzvahs, business promotions, fund raisers, and civic events. If I cannot answer I will direct you to the answer. I am not an expert in children or teen parties. There are hundreds of sites that specialize in that information if you google "kids parties" you will find an amazing amount of bright ideas. We do have a page on our site that leads to al the different kid's party themes, however. http://www.partyplansplus.com/themes.htm Not for those seeking information about party/event planning as a career. That information is found on the internet under "event planning careers" or at our site www.partyplansplus.com/started.htm

Party Planning - mom's 60th

Expert: Patty Sachs - 7/25/2008

Question
I am planning a surprise 60th party for my mom and knowing my mom.. I'm keeping it pretty simple.  I did have a question about how to display the TONS of pictures we have of her.  I thought about a cardboard display and cutting 6 & 0 out of cardboard. Those are kind of boring to me.  Do you have any creative ideas on how to show these pictures?  Thanks!

Answer
Renee:

I would divide them up into groups...her childhood/school days, her wedding/early marriage with her children as youngsters, her family/siblings, vacations or trips, work/friends ,etc.

Make up a poster board of each grouping with streamers and decorative touches on them...a title for each and post them around the room as part of the decor.  This gives folks a chance to roam around and see them at their leisure.

That is what I would do if it were my party.

I hope this has helped.

Have a wonderful party,

Patty Sachs
