Question
I am the Gala Chair for 2009 and I was thinking of Fly Me to The Moon as a possible theme...Frank Sinatra,,,Big Band
Ballroom dancing, elegant decor...but wait Fly Me To The Moon (i found out after some research is from the 50s and I dont want that era...I wanted late 30s-40s Fred and Ginger...but then Fly Me wont fit...I dont want it to be just Sinatra and have hit a dead end with the Fly me theme...I need to finalize the theme asap...any ideas!!??!!

Answer
Hi Kathie

Why not use the name Big Band Bonanza or similar rather than trying to find a song title from that era? I believe there is a track called 'face The Music & Dance' which I like but this is personal d=stuff.

I'd suggest searching some of the sites on that era and just one title or phrase or something, perhaps on a poster etc will give you a Erueka moment.

Obviously you'll need to change search terms to get the results you want and try them with and without "". Phrases like "Big Band Era" or "swing" or "Early Crooners" etc .....whatever you want to find.

I could really get into searching for you ... but gotta go now
