Question
Hi, my friend just found out he has to leave in a week and a half to France because he plays professional soccer. me and one of my other friends wanted to throw him a going away party because we dont know when he is coming back. I just dont know what to do, since we are only 17 there isnt as much we can do so i was curious if you had any ideas? thank you

Answer
Hi Sean

Bit short notice. My guess is that at your age you'll want a simple gathering of friends doing what you like to do best. As  I don't know you, I couldn't offer suggestions.

Maybe this would be a meal for just a few, with perhaps some drink and some personal entertainment (book www.MagicWorks.co.uk if you are in the UK!) or perhaps a wild rave for 150 people in a club.

Either way .... just make it a memorable evening through the friends who are there to give a good send off. I think the people will make it and in a place where everyone can spend some time with him and say how much they'll miss, be thinking etc.
Simple....

PS DO take a look at the Close-Up magician ....which would be brilliant whether you are at home, in a bar, restaurant or club.
