We do have a page on our site that leads to al the different kid's party themes, however. http://www.partyplansplus.com/themes.htm Not for those seeking information about party/event planning as a career. Party Planning - Invitation wording

Expert: Patty Sachs - 11/3/2009

Question
I am holding a new years eve party and am about to send the invites out but I have a question regarding the wording, I am going to do a buffet and want people to know there will be food there so they don't eat dinner first!  How should I word this?  Thank you!

Answer
Dear Hazel:

You simply state that the guests are invited for a New Year's Eve Celebration including a late buffet supper.  The timing of the party is important, though.  If you invite them for 8 or 9 p.m. they may have had a little to eat since it is late.  That is o.k. they will still eat.

And for a New Year's party, which lasts to about 1 p.m. you don't usually expect them to be at your party for 5 hours...so a starting time for 9 is typical for a New Year's party.

The mention of a late buffet supper will alert them to save room and if the food is available for several hours it will be enjoyed by all.

I hope this has helped you with your plans.
