I am not an expert in children or teen parties. There are hundreds of sites that specialize in that information if you google "kids parties" you will find an amazing amount of bright ideas. We do have a page on our site that leads to al the different kid's party themes, however. http://www.partyplansplus.com/themes.htm
Not for those seeking information about party/event planning as a career. That information is found on the internet under "event planning careers" or at our site www.partyplansplus.com/started.htm

Question I need an idea of what to do as a center piece. The party is being held on 12/11/09. The party is being held at a reception hall with 125 people. Something that looks great but inexpensive. I know I want I all. Thanks for your help.
Answer Dear Barbara:
Most every guest of honor is pleased and honored with event decorations that include photos of him. My best suggestion is to use cut-outs of the Chief's face as the centers of big paper flowers for a bouquet, perhaps of the official colors of his town. Smaller versions of the flowers could be used as a napkin ring by wrapping the stem around the napkin. You could use any container that you like, possibly spray-painting different types of containers the same color to unify. Or even using a hat as a base. Of course if he has a fantastic sense of humor you could use a Dunkin' doughnuts box to hold the arrangement of paper flowers. (Tissue paper makes an awesome display for very little. Black and white w/silver accents is dramatic.)
Another option is to place a couple of the flowers in an inexpensive ($1.00 store)vase...then place one vase per couple in the center of the table for a combination centerpiece and take-home favor.
You can add balloons, streamers, etc. to any centerpiece you choose for a very festive touch.
The flowers mentioned above could also serve as a table assignment, affixed to a card.
Get your arts and crafts committee together and make a party of creating these centerpiece ideas.
Best of luck to you in your creative endeavor.
If you have further questions, feel free to send them over.
