I am not an expert in children or teen parties. There are hundreds of sites that specialize in that information if you google "kids parties" you will find an amazing amount of bright ideas. We do have a page on our site that leads to al the different kid's party themes, however. http://www.partyplansplus.com/themes.htm
Not for those seeking information about party/event planning as a career. That information is found on the internet under "event planning careers" or at our site www.partyplansplus.com/started.htm

Question My strings teacher is leaving to go to Iraq in about a month. My classmates and I want to throw a party for him, but were not sure what to do. :] We were thinking of everybody in our class donating 5 dollars which would give us a total of 50 dollars to work with. Do you think you can help? Thanks!!
Answer Well, along with the punch and cookies for light refreshments (if you did snacks it could be potluck) you could give him a packet of stationery, not too expensive, and a roll of stamps. It can even be lined paper and # 10 envelopes...very reasonable. Something that he can definitely use when he is there. Make a set of labels with each of your names/addresses so that he can write each of you a community letter that you can share with each other rather than personal ones, that would take him too long and pretty much be duplicates of information.
He will also be able to e-mail you sometimes, but the letters could be a lot of fun to receive and share.
This is a suggestion for something he can use and you can enjoy part of it, too. It is a great thing for him to keep in touch.
I am sure he will love whatever you do for him.
Best to you and to your teacher, for his dedication.
