About Patty Sachs
Expertise
Anything about planning parties for weddings, showers, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, retirements, bar/bat mitzvahs, business promotions, fund raisers, and civic events. If I cannot answer I will direct you to the answer. I am not an expert in children or teen parties. There are hundreds of sites that specialize in that information if you google "kids parties" you will find an amazing amount of bright ideas. We do have a page on our site that leads to al the different kid's party themes, however. http://www.partyplansplus.com/themes.htm Not for those seeking information about party/event planning as a career. That information is found on the internet under "event planning careers" or at our site www.partyplansplus.com/started.htm

Party Planning - 90th birthday brunch

Expert: Patty Sachs - 4/19/2009

Question
I am giving a 90th birthday party brunch, after church, for 125-130 people, many elderly. Serving chicken filled croissants, small rolls with sliced ham, seafood pasta salad, wraps with various fillings, fresh fruit, vegetable tray, cake, coffee, punch.I would appreciate help with amount of each to prepare. I live a great distance from location and will fly in to do this. I plan to use purchased chicken salad and seafood salad, as bases, from Sam's Club as well as their baked goods. Thank you, Mary

Answer
Dear Mary:

Since I am a total event planner and producer, I engage the services of all the experts such as the caterer and let them do their magic with menu items, quantities, etc. so I am not exactly an expert in food quantities. You might find that Sam's club has such an expert on hand.

Also, I have a list of sites that offer help in determining quantities in a quite efficient way:

Best of luck to you in your planning.  It sounds like a lovely menu.
