I'm planning a 25th anniversary vow renewal and reception for 6/23/2012. I'm estimating a guest list of 200 max. I plan to use the colors silver and purple with iris as the flowers of choice.  I would like to have the ceremony and sit down reception (for  older family  members) from 3 PM - 7 PM and after party from 8- 2 am.  How large a reception hall should I expect to rent and how to determine the amount of food required?

Wow...that's pretty close, especially where I work in the IK. We'd need to book a function room of that size well in advance to have the best opportunity of somewhere we like.

These questuions can only really be answered by the venue and your caterers. They will have different suites for different events adn different price structures apply depending upon use.

If you are having a party in the evening too, you may wish to use the same space or move to another room....this will affect the sizes and [price, and you may need a platform for a DJ or band or cabaret ..depending what you plan.

I'd suggest you immediately get on to venues (who inturn will have preferred caterers) and ask them...they are specialists and will have all your answers.
