Experience I have been involved with Corporate and Private Events for many years. I both organise and provide entertainment at a wide range from house parties, anniversaries, celebrations, fun days, conferences, seminars, workshops and street parties.
Question I'm in the uk and planning my sweet 16 (my 16th birthday is next year
August 22nd). I have decided I want to have a circus theme (but not
childish things like clowns) I'm talking 'sexy circus' - acrobats,
contortionists, kind of like the one in Bratz the movie, only without the
elephant lol. My budget is around £1500. I know I want to hire some
circus performers as entertainers, but other than that I haven't got
anywhere with planning and have no idea what I'm going to do for
decorations, food, games etc. Please help

I am in the UK too ...... the CIRCUS theme is a GREAT idea.
I know what you mean about 'sexy circus' .... I work with people from Cirque de Soleil and the Jim Rose Circus of Horrors etc. I know Martin who owns Zippo's Circus and many acts out of Circus Space where they rehearse.
Clowns CAN be adult too by the way ... but you have to reframe what you think! After all, Rowan Atkinson and Little Britain are clown shows! Just a new context.
Do you have the performers provisionally booked yet?
Have you sourced them?
Is the budget of £1500 to cover their fees too?
How about venue?
Do you realise that you'll need to have a venue with certain safety asopects covered and incluse probably £5 million public liability insurance cover.
You need to have a plan for the evening...then decor and food will fall into place. Is it a buffet style event or will they sit and watch while they eat or after they eat? Will the entertainment be on going or staged like a show? Why do you need games if you have acts?
