About Patty Sachs
Expertise
Anything about planning parties for weddings, showers, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, retirements, bar/bat mitzvahs, business promotions, fund raisers, and civic events. If I cannot answer I will direct you to the answer. I am not an expert in children or teen parties. There are hundreds of sites that specialize in that information if you google "kids parties" you will find an amazing amount of bright ideas. We do have a page on our site that leads to al the different kid's party themes, however. http://www.partyplansplus.com/themes.htm Not for those seeking information about party/event planning as a career. That information is found on the internet under "event planning careers" or at our site www.partyplansplus.com/started.htm

Party Planning - Rose Garden dedication ceremony

Expert: Patty Sachs - 6/29/2009

Question
The church is dedicating a garden walkway in honor of one of the founding members. Any suggestions for the cermony and or decorating?

Answer
Tha fact that you are in a garden greatly reduces the decoration that you would need.  You could include some fluttery ribbons on tall rods to mark the way and for a very sunny area, a small canopy of sorts to protect the principles.

Since it is in a garden area, this is a self-determining ceremony, short and light-hearted.  I would suggest a bit of music, perhaps violin and flute and even a vocal selection would enhance the ceremony.

A small plant seedling would be a nice favor/gift for those in attendance.

Those would be my impropmptu ideas for a lovely and memorable ceremony.

Best to you for a wonderful event,

Patty Sachs
