Question
I'm throwing a retirement dinner for my boss.  The place I want to use is only available on a Sunday (March 2nd).  It's a ballroom at the aquarium set next to the shark tank.  Is it tacky to do a Sunday evening like 5 PM-10 PM or should I find another place with a Saturday available.

Answer
Kelly

I 'do' a lot of parties of all kinds on a Sunday. In fact, it's most populat for BarMitzvahs than Saturday.

I think that, unles you know of some reason any important guests would take offence, I'd go with it. It sounds like an interesting venue and I'd personally not be concerned.

But ... like everytyhing, I can only speak for the circuit I work within here in the UK. Ask a few key guests then go with your gut feeling. And once you've decided ... stop worrying about it.
