Question We are planning an engagement party for my niece who is 24years old. She is inviting his family; aunts & uncles, some cousins, parents, siblings, grandparents and our family (similar) and her bridal party of 10. We're guessing around 70 guests. Objective is to get to know each other and have fun. She works in radio advertising (sales) and is a party girl; very bubbly and outgoing. He is quiet in comparison. Party either at home in backyard, or restaurant. Any ideas for a fun theme and entertainment? We were thinking maybe a tv game show?
Your help would be very much appreciated.
Answer i think its a great idea. You can make these events such fun and no one has to take themselves seriously. Allocate one person from each 'side' to find out embarrasing moments from their past, get copies of photos from when they were kids and make up questions about these items. You could go for the whole 'Soon to be Mr and Mrs'idea and have them as the contestents. decor wise have the obvious hearts and lights everywhere and rig up a stage with two chairs so that evreyone can see them. although he may be shy I am sure surrounded by his friends and family he will enjoy the attention.
have fun!!
