Hi,
my sister had a  nasal endoscopic operation in her left nasal and the 1st pathology result as non-keratinazing  anaplastic carcinoma she is going for radiotherapy next wk the oncolgy asked for second opinion which they said is poorly differentiated carcinoma , could you pls,pls verify these 2 result as we are worried sick, Thanks alot. Hello Zahra:

To verify the results one has to look at the slides. However, non keratinizing anaplastic carcinoma and poorly differentiated carcinoma are different names for the same type of cancer.

at times there are different names and one may be preferred over the other in a pathology practice.
