Pathology - Mole removal

Expert: Neha Dahiya MD - 6/17/2009

Question
I recently had several moles on my back removed. When I went back for a check,The doctor said "now I don't want you to freak out" He said the one mole showed signs of (lymphomatic Something or other) I can't remember his exact words but He said its probably nothing could just be a papual. He told me to check back in three months. I am concerned because I had a physical last month and my urine showed a trace of protein and I need to repeat it in a month. While both doctors told me not to worry, I am. Could these things be connected? Do you know what he was talking about with the mole pathology? Once I heard lymphoma or something like that, everything else was a blur.

Answer
Hello Patty:

I could help you better understand your mole if you had the exact diagnosis. Otherwise it is just speculation and will add to your anxiety.

Same is with protein in urine.

these two may not necessarily be related.

Please wait for the next followup and do not worry much if the doctors were concerned about something they would let you know.
