Pediatric Dentistry/Braces

Due to a severe preexisting condition I have many missing teeth so my teeth have moved and I need braces so I get false teeth.
What won't I be able to with braces?
Will they hurt?
Can clear/ceramic braces be used on everyone in all cases? If not are metal braes noticable? I am going to prom and graduation this year and do not want to be teased.

In my opinion, you need to see a dentist who specializes in this kind of treatment. That person is called a prosthodontist. You will probably need braces to align your existing teeth and then implants to replace your missing teeth.  This is a complex case. Before prom a dentist can make you a removable denture with fake teeth on them so you will not be noticed.  Metal or ceramic braces can be used.  I personally like the metal braces.  More young adults are having metal braces now.  You may want to investigate about Invisalign orthodontic treatment.

Again, a prosthodontist and orthodontist need to work together in your case.
