Question
My 12 week old baby boy has had a cough since 2 wks old he was 6 wks premie he has conjuctivitus and in a swab it came back pos for strep. He also has projectile vomiting out of his mouth and nose after every feed and also coughs so much that he vomits. He is very snuffly in the nose aswell.
I have seen a pediatrician but can not get back into to see him for 8 weeks so have still no idea what is goin on.

Hi tegan,
As he is a premie, follow ups are based on his adjusted age. His adjusted age is 6 weeks old. it is best to have been evaluated earlier to assess his medical, neurologic, developmental, and nutritional needs.
Has he been treated for his conjunctivitis with antibiotic drops? If not, I recommend calling her or him for an earlier appointment.
Is the event of his vomiting, coughing, and nasal congestion very recent? Or has it been an event that has been ongoing for weeks? If it is very recent, then it may very well be a viral infection. If your son has been excessively regurgitating his meals, I recommend that you push for an earlier appointment to determine the cause.
