Question Hello sir,i would like to ask u abt my baby as he is 4 mnth old n a breastfed baby.upto 2nd 12 months his stool was normal,twice a day,bit suddenly quantity increased to 5-6 times n color changes to greenish,frothy n mucusy.i didn't change my diet also.thn our doc gave him Sy.Septran for 5 days.bit afterthat also hia stool is same.we did stool exam,its normal.nw our doctor is sayg tht u just neglect it coz my baby is happy sleepy n normal one.so nw stool is sticky n greenish n frothy n accompanied after feed.
n plz tel me when should i shift my baby to othr diet?
Answer get stool tested for PH and reducing substancess.. if positive you may need milk free feeding for a week.
motions upto 5 times every day isnt much a worry unless its smelling badly.
passing stools after feeds is called gastrocolic reflex and it is normal at this age.
