Question i have a 9 month old baby (he will be 10 month old towards the end of this month). i am beginning to be concerned about certain delays in his developmental milestones. i have noticed that he does not crawl yet at this age. he is also unable to roll over from his back to his tummy. if placed on his tummy, he just stays in that position until he is uncomfortable and starts crying. one can place him in a sitting position and he can be left in that position without support on his back. but he is unable to bring himself to sit down, or to raise his buttocks when on his tummy, or to raise himself up on all fours. is there something with him? please help. thanks
Answer Hi, gay,
Lots of healthy totally normal kids don't crawl at all. They simply stand up and walk.
This is all probably normal, but at the next visit, have the doctor know that you are concerned and go over this with him/her. Again, unless there is a global delay in development, lack of crawling is totally normal.
