Question Hi Mary Pat. My question is probably the opposite of most "picky eater" toddler questions. My 15 month old eats everything in site. She loves to eat and squeals and cries when there is food anywhere that she is not eating. She literally would eat until I stopped feeding her. She is about 30 pounds and is also 75% for height. She is also not walking yet. Now in saying this, I have started to communicate with my hubby about watching how much she is getting. Should I even be worried about it or just glad she does eat(from reading the other entries)!
Thanks, Mary
Answer Dear Mary:
Your 15 month old is already overweight so you need to put limits on her food intake.
Offer her child size portions and if she cries for more I would avoid that. Be certain she is eating healthy foods, 3 meals a day and 3 snacks and that should be sufficient.
What does her doctor say about her not walking yet?
There is a great web site you can search on for toddler nutrition and it is "www.kidshealth.org" Click on "parents" section.
