Question
Hello I have a 13 month old son that will not and never would sleep in his crib. He will only fall asleep if someone is holding him so we let him fall asleep in our arms and then put him in his crib. But he wakes up in the middle of the night screaming and as soon as I put him in bed with me he goes right back to sleep. We have tried to put him in his crib and let him cry it out but he makes his self throw up by crying to hard or sticking his hand down his throat. How do I make him want to sleep in his crib? I don't want him sleeping in my bed until hes 7!!! HELP!!!
well, you can try a cradle.. or a swing.. or try making him sleep on his tummy. introduce toys like say a big teddy around when you keep him in bed.
screaming episodes in sleep at this age can be related to dreams etc but more specifically they can be due to nose block, snt bite, stridor etc.
i wont recommend cry out method for this.
I don't want him sleeping in my bed until hes 7!!-- any reason why u feel so. pls write back fi any further issues.
