Question what are the demerits of adenoid surgery?will it cause any hindrance in the normal development of the child? what will be the effect of adenoid removal on the immune system of the child?
Answer if the adenoid is causing problems including poor weight gain, whatever may be demerits.. its recommended to be removed.
well, adenoids dont afffect development.
adenoids are not required for body after 1 year age, as other immunoprotective mechanisms develop by this age.
if adenoids are absent since birth, it suggest immune deficiency.
