Question
My 5 and half months old son has been passing frequent motions for last 15 days. His stool is of different consistemncy/color each time- yellow green mucousy, watery, granular etc. Have got his tool test done It saysmucuos present, pus 8-10 hpf, macrophages presenterythrocytes and epithelial cells occasional. He is drinking NAN 1 and often vomits after breast feed.I am very tensed. Pl advise

it all is suggestive fo some infection.. probably due to bacetria and may need an antibiotic course. read details of handling rehydration at www.rehydrate.org

please take him to ER/ pediatrician, also get stool test for pH and sugars .. if positive you may in addition need to replace the formula by a lactose free one.

15 days loose motions need an urgent assessment.
