Question my daughter born on 16 march 2009 is suffering from loose motion since more than a week , her stool is green and yellow in color . we have visited the doctor and he advised some anti diarrheic medicines ,but the problem continues ? i want know if food habit of mother aslo affects the health of baby because of breast feeding ?
Answer Hi, Tikam Singh,
It is unlikely that mothers food selections are causing the loose stools. Lots of kids have viral bowel infections that gradually resolve. Depending on where in the world you live, parasites and bacteria can be a problem also.
If she is gaining weight and seems healthy, then this will probably get better. If she is getting worse, than perhaps a stool evaluation is in order.
