Pediatrics/Vomiting and Weight loss

Dear Doctor,
Thank you so much for the response! This website is really helpful.

My baby is about 3 months old, and doesn't feel hungry, i force him and feed..from past one week, he is vomiting out everything after every feeding, but is very active and playful. However, I try to balance all the nutrients after he vomits.

He sleeps for 8-10 hrs at a stretch and doesn't wake up in between during nights. I have shown him to the pediatrician, he said his weight and all are normal. But when compared to the growth chart, he is under weight (5.3 kgs @ 3rd month).

Please let me know what can i do to avoid vomitings and make him put on weight. I feed him for every 1 and half hours.

Thank you!

Hi Sravanti,

You are simply overfeeding your baby. He is NOT underweight.

Avoid force feeding...feed only when baby demands: baby may not demand upto many hours!!
He does not wake up as he is satisfied and full!

Please discuss about it with your pediatrician.

Best wishes,
