My neighbour kid 9 month old has some white patch around the lips which started little n mw spread around mouth no itching n their doc has told its vitamin deficiency n satrted on zincovit syrup. .wanted to knw ifthere r any other causes n treatment as no improvement seen after using it..

2.that child has recieved comvac 5 n polio he has recieved already opv at birth n 6, 10 n 14 wks is it required fr 6months , 9 months n they r planning to giv separate Ipv..saw in link u had attached in ur past answerd but still baby gets almost 8 doses of opv and additional by govt 2times every year .

Yes, there are several causes. Treatment would depend on the cause. It takes at least 6-8 months to show result in most cases.

If baby has received OPV at 6, 10 and 14 weeks of age, then OPV may not be given at 6 and 9 months. However, baby should receive polio drops at every Pulse Polio round, as it is over and above routine vaccination and gives additional protection.
