My 5 year old daughter has been sick 5 times in 3 months since she has started kindergarten. Every time it is associated with fevers. I have taken her to her pediatrician every time which is making me feel discouraged. She just got over a sinus infection. She is now running fevers again.

Hi, Jayla,

When kids get the intense germ exposure they get in kindergarten, sometime they get blasted with viral illnesses.  What does your pediatrician say about the fevers?  What are they caused by?  Are these all ear infections or a mix of other things?  Had she been sick this frequently before kindergarten?  Give me some additional info and would be happy to share my thoughts with you.

Good luck, Dr. Olson

I would be happy to attempt to answer any questions about general pediatric topics, either medical issues or behavioral issues. This would include all the various questions one receives in a busy pediatric practice. I`m a board certified pediatrician in northern Michigan and have been in practice for over 15 years. I enjoy the teaching role I have in our practice and would enjoy the opportunity to help others with their pediatric problems.
