Hi, my 7 month old son fell of the bed last night he fell face down... He cried and I picked him up and clamed him down... Then I noticed alittle blood in his nose ... He was acting just fine but Iam worried he might be hurt.. Should I take him to the ER?he played after and drank his milk... Should I be worried

Dear Diane,

It appears that more than 8 hours have already elapsed since he had his fall. In the given circumstances, if he is doing well clinically, I would leave him alone. However, if there are any of the following features or if he is not feeling well in himself, please do go to the ER for an apprisal. The following are the red-flags:
a) He looks pale or ill
b) He is vomiting repeatedly
c) He is running a temperature more than 38 C
d) He is unable to move any of his limbs or his eyes or face look funny or asymmetrical
e) He is fitting or not looking completely conscious

If none of the abovementioned things apply to him, then leave him alone.
