I just want to add that it is wonderful to finally see doctors suggesting that we allow a temperature to run it's course (unless over 104). I have four children and I have rarely used any fever reducer (maybe 3 times in 8 years). I too noticed that the illness seemed to last longer than when I did nothing but fluids. Generally, the children are fine within 24-48 hours if I leave the fever alone. It took about 5 days when I put medicine in their bodies. Great post, thank you.
