Pediatrics - how to be a kid's doctor?

Expert: Dr. Frederick Blount - 6/29/2005

Question
hi i am going to THE MET middle school in providence rhode island. i was wondering how much you make an hour. i just need some guestions answerd for a servay. how many years of collage did you go through? i was just wondering can you help me out?

Answer
First you have to learn to spell "survey" and then you have to go to 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, 3 years of pediatric residency and take the certifying exam, then one can call oneself a pediatrician. A physician is a professional and is almost never paid by the hour, and the way he/she practices varies a great deal from seeing patients in an office to being on the faculty of a medical school.
