Peoplesoft - how to upload excel file to peoplesoft database

Expert: Peter Choi - 1/31/2007

Question
How can i upload data in excel sheet to multiple tables in peoplesoft database like the data in excel is splitted into header and detail peoplesoft tables.

Thanks in Advance.

Answer
Hi Iavanya,

The tool to use is PeopleSoft's Application Engine. Essentially you will need to convert each tab in your Excel file to a .CSV format.

Then using Application Engine, you map the PeopleSoft Table fields to the CSV file. Once that is confirmed, you can run the program to load the data in.

Reference:

and select " PeopleSoft Application Engine ".

Alternatively, you can use write SQR programs to perform your data load

and select " SQR for PeopleSoft Developers ".

Hope this helps!

Peter
