Question
What is the scientific name of Dinner Plate Hibiscus?

Answer
Carol,
Hibiscus moscheutos is the scientific name for the Hardy Hibiscus.  Theyse always surprise me in the spring because they die completely back and I always think they are dead--but up they come and OH! How beautiful.  They come in many colors.
Nurseries sell them as "Hardy Hibiscus"
