Perennials - Butterfly garden

Question
I have an above ground pool.  I would like to plant a butterfly garden, on the one side to sheild from the wind.  My question is will the plants, (butterfly bush, yarrow and butterfly weed) attrack alot of bees?   Thank you,  Marjorie

Answer
Yes, bees will be a BIG part of your "pool life" if you plant any flower around your pool!In all my reading, I have found NO flowering plant that repels bees!  Sorry!

Some green, non-flowering, shrubs could work.  Check your nursery for those.    Maybe some medium tall and short native grasses??
