Question I had a flu shot at the doctors office a few weeks ago. My arm really hurt for a couple of days, but became very swollen and sore. I developed a fever and went back to the doctor who simply said he was sorry and put me on 4 500 mg of anti biotics a day for 10 days. Now, I'm afraid of what this could turn into. 'm concerned about Hepatitis C and don't know what else I should be concerned about. My arm is still very sore and I have developed what looks like a raised mole in the area.
I called his office to get an appointment to discuss the new extra billing practice and his nurse simply left a message for me to forget about the extra billing and didn't give me an appointment.
Answer Hi Diane,
I am sorry, but personal injury claims Doctor Settlement is expert at, but not medical issues. This is hopefully something that will heal up satisfactorily for you.
We all have the basic knowledge that shots carry with them two risks. First is the risk that the shot will induce a severe reaction of that disease which is injected. In other words, the patient gets the flu. The second is that there is always the risk of infection.
Neither of these results is going to result in any kind of liability versus the doctor, in my opinion. At least I will bet that not one in one thousand attorneys would ever take any case like this.
Why? Two reasons. First, there are inherent risks, and unfortunately for you, the dice came up bad for you on this one. And, second, there are no real damages to speak of. Hence, no case to interest an attorney.
I hope you will not shoot the messenger here, Diane. I trust that my time here has produced some information that has been of value to you, and thus I would respectfully request that you take the time to locate the FEEDBACK FORM on this site and leave some feedback for me.
