Question QUESTION: On valentines day I slipped on a sidewalk that was covered in ice, had not been shoveled or salted or sanded. My feet slipped from beneath me and I landed hard on my tailbone resulting in a broken tailbone. I'm suffering a lot of pain, I can barely walk sit or lay down. I have seen my dr twice for this and I am told that there is nothing that can be done for a broken tail bone so I am currently on heavy pain medication and my back is all swollen with a large bruise over the area. Now I am having difficulties getting any medical treatment as I cannot get the claim number for the insurance comp. and the office is giving me the runaround. I need to go for further x-rays and have not gone yet for 2 reasons 1 being that I am having a really hard time to walk and the 2nd reason is that I cannot afford to pay out of pocket and these medical agencies want the ins. claim number of which I already told you I cannot get from anyone. From either the city or the private apartment owners who own the laundry facility where I fell. Thank god my adult daughter was with me when this happened otherwise I don't know what I would have done. My daughter did go back to the area with a camera and took pictures. I need professional help as I am in a lot of pain and getting nowheres with the people I have been dealing with. Do you have any ideas of what I should do next?
