Subject: Thrift Savings Plan Annuity

Question
I am 60 years old and am retiring from the US Postal Service.  I have $200,000 in my Thrift Savings Plan and am considering a Joint Life annuity with my spouse.  This will pay a fixed amount for our life.  I'm considering this option for the security of lifetime income because if we have easy access to the money, I'm concerned with the possibility of the money getting piddled away whenever money is needed for something.  I'm looking for advice on the Pros and Cons of the Thrift Saving Plan annuity.  Thank you.
