Expert: Jack DeAngelis - 11/2/2009
Question
hi, we found this roll of tape in my office on the desk- can you help us identify these bugs?
thanks!
Answer Carey,
These are called aphids and they feed on plants. There are both winged aphids and wingless aphids and both are pictured. There must be a plant nearby that is infested or the tape was drawn over an infested plant where it picked up the aphids. Here's an article about aphids in general http://www.livingwithbugs.com/aphids.html and ways to control aphids if you find the infested plant.
