Pest Control/Small brown bugs in bedroom

Question
Small brown bug
Small brown bug
Hi,
I've found a couple small brown bugs, oval shaped, which don't appear to have wings- one was found on my bed, the other on the floor near my bathroom. I do have 2 dogs but neither appear to have any bugs near their beds or on them. None under my mattress or under my rugs (I have wood floors) either. Any idea what they could be? The picture isn't great... they don't appear to have bands on their backs but just on the "belly".

Answer
Katherine,

The image is a bit too small and dark to be certain (try these suggestions http://www.livingwithbugs.com/ec.html for photographing insects) but this could be a dermestid beetle larva, see http://www.livingwithbugs.com/carpet_beetle.html for pictures. If you can get a closer, lighter image I'd be glad to take another look.
