Pest Control/Small brown bugs in bedroom

Small brown bug
Small brown bug
I've found a couple small brown bugs, oval shaped, which don't appear to have wings- one was found on my bed, the other on the floor near my bathroom. I do have 2 dogs but neither appear to have any bugs near their beds or on them. None under my mattress or under my rugs (I have wood floors) either. Any idea what they could be? The picture isn't great... they don't appear to have bands on their backs but just on the "belly".

The image is a bit too small and dark to be certain (try these suggestions for photographing insects) but this could be a dermestid beetle larva, see for pictures. If you can get a closer, lighter image I'd be glad to take another look.

I can answer questions about the control of pest insects, spiders, mites and related arthropods. These household pests include termites, carpenter ants, powderpost beetles, nuisance ants, bed bugs, cockroaches, fleas, wasps, and many others. I can also answer questions about using pesticides and other pest control tools such as baits and traps.
