I found these bugs in the shower. They seem to have two antennas at the top of the frame. They are narrow with scales and a dark line going through the middle (probably blood). If you turn them on their side they have these white tentacle legs. Wondering what kind of bugs these are. Please help!
Because everything is matted together I'm having trouble seeing the details I need for an id. I think these are carpet beetle larvae (see http://www.livingwithbugs.com/carpet_beetle.html for a picture of these larvae) but I'd like to see more detail. Can you take another photo with these in a drop of water so that the hairs/scales are not matted together?
I can answer questions about the control of pest insects, spiders, mites and related arthropods. These household pests include termites, carpenter ants, powderpost beetles, nuisance ants, bed bugs, cockroaches, fleas, wasps, and many others. I can also answer questions about using pesticides and other pest control tools such as baits and traps.
