Question Help Please
Black small, kinda fat ants keep infestiing my garden. I have some Eugenia
around the back of the house and they are all over them all the time. I just
dug one up to move and the ants were all over me. They are in other parts of
the garden also. I raked all the mulch away the other day and wondered if
mulch attracts them?
Thank you for any info. you can give me.

Answer The mulch is not attract to them unless the ants see it as an easy place to build a nest. I would buy a granular ant bait and put it out in the mulch. This will kill off the nest and you will have no more problems. Every month or so retreat and you can keep the ants out. Most stores with a garden center will have these baits.
