We have seen a couple of these bugs in our house in Michigan lately.  They are about an 1/8 in length.

Answer
Josh,

This is a beetle but I can't see enough detail to tell whether or not this is one that occurs indoors as a pest or one that has just entered from outside. Check around areas where food is stored (including dry pet food) to see if you find more beetles. If you don't see any more I'd conclude that these simply flew in from outside.
