Question Hi i have a pet rat that looses balance and falls over, she has recently had a saw eye and nose.. she is eating fine can you help?

Your rat probably has an inner ear infection and needs to see a vet right away.

Do you have a vet for your rat because she needs to see one to get medication. She will need antibiotics and steroids or metacam for inflammation. With this condition, there is inflammation on the 8th cranial nerve that causes loss of balance. Once medication is started, it may take time for the rat to show signs of recovery but the rat will not get worse and will get better with each day.
