Question Hi, There is a pet store where I live that is Abusing and neglecting the animals they keep. The abuse ranges from hitting a ferret in the face to smashing a mouse on the counter to selling parvo puppies to leaving all their animals in feces and urine with URI and parvo, no water or food. I have tried our local humane society over and over. I ran a picket in front of their store. I have tried many things to get these animals help. Nobody seems to do anything about it and I am running short on resources. I don't know where else to turn. I cannot go in and take pictures for evidence because we are banned for running a picket in front of their store. We don't know anyone else around here to do it for us. If you have any numbers that can help that would be great. Any way you could help I would greatly appreciate. Thank you for your time!!
Answer Getting the media involved often makes people do the right thing. Next time you ask for help from the local control agencies, mention you're contacting local news and/or national media outlets to investigate animal abuse and how local agencies handle things.
Also, this page should help with other options

I know this is difficult - and we don't always have a good outcome, but at least you're trying.
Contacting PETA may help too
