Pharmaceuticals - stability/balance calibration

Expert: Michael Anisfeld - 7/26/2008

Question
stability
what to do if our product shows significant change in accelerated condition

calibration
For the balance whose capacity is more then 1000kg suggest the how we done the daily caliberation

Answer
stability - by "change" in stability - do you mean that the product does not meet its specification on the stated expiration date? If so, either shorten the expiration date, or reformulate. AND, if you currently have product on the market whose expiration date cannot be supported, then you are also facing a product recall.

calibration - are you routinely weighing 1,000Kg? If you are, then you need a series of weights that add to to 1,000Kg to perform the daily balance check. If you are routinely weighing less, then you need sufficient weights to bracket your normal weighing.
