Question
what is the difference between drug contraindication and a drug precaution?

Answer
A drug contraindication spells out under what conditions the drug should not be used (e.g. contraindicated during pregnancy, or if simultaneously taking drug X)

A precaution is similar, but is usually used as a warning of the potential effects of the drug being taken (e.g. do not drive following taking).

I hope this helps,
Mike
