Question
My  son is 22yrs old he had an acute psycotic break he is on 1mg risperdal for about six months now,do you know if
he has to take this tablet all his life?

Answer
Dear Savitri

I cannot really answer this question without knowing all the facts. However, some psychotic illness do self-terminate and if this happens risperidone could be withdrawn. Only his prescriber can help you here.
