Question I am a 55 years old,I have no health problems, I stopped smoking two years ago,I weight 210 lb's I'm 6ft,5in tall and lean. I eat one meal a day,I've eaten this way since a child. my problem is I have a pot belly,It seems to be water I do sit-ups everyday,I shake it and sounds like a water balloon.Can a man take water pills.Thank you,Bob

If you have not had a physical recently, I would suggest getting this checked out. Over-the-counter diuretics such as Midol,Diurex are very weak and will only relieve bloating for 2-3 days.Prescription diuretics are usually prescribed for swelling in the extremities (ankles,hands)due to an underlying condition such as congestive heart failure. Your best bet would be to get checked out by a health professional. Hope this helps, Mary
