Question Hey so I am having some air (the dr said) stuck on my right side under my rib
and its hurting me. It is not appendicitis (dr said) but she thinks its air and
prescribed me gavizcon. Would that actually work? Is there any other option?
I was told to take tums also, do they work?
One last question, I am allergic to everything thats under the sea and I read
on gavizcon it has sea weed would that affect me?
Thank you very much
Answer Hi TC!
Gaviscon (and Tums).
works well to break up any trapped gas that can cause gas pain. If you mean that you are allergic to shellfish which is a common allergy, it shouldn't be a problem if you take Gaviscon.
Common causes for trapped gas are:eating too fast
chewing gum
poor posture
habit of swallowing air while
talking
Hope this helps, Mary
