Question I have been going to fertility clinic for a year now. My estrogen levels are very high every month. This is affecting my reaction to fert. drugs (basically, I over-react and creat too many eggs!) So, I have tried to lower my estrogen through changing my diet and light excercise. I currently take loratadine for allergies. Can loratadine increase my estrogen levels??
Answer Dear Carrie
I would be very surprised if loratadine would raise oestrogen levels. Have they tried clomiphene which is excellent at lowering oestrogen levels to allow ovulation. Careful dose and blood tests during treatment ca assess what is happening and avoid multiple ovulation. There are so many very successful methods of treating subfertility that I sue that a decent fertility clinic can deal with. Is there another one in your area. If you were in Australia I could direct you to some excellent places.
