Question Dr. Galbraith,
I am taking 125mg of effexor XR daily and was wondering if I could take this weight loss supplement (w/hoodia) with it. I took the "rapid slim SX" before I started taking the anti-depressant and had success with it.

I see no reason why Hoodia or Rapid Slim SX (which contains Hoodia)should not be taken with Effexor. I cannot guarantee this as interactions are continually happening with newer preparations that cannot always be predicted but it is unlikely that this will be the case.
